In looking for some "decent" Chinese food in Middletown, we found China Star. It's a little more of a drive for us but, definitely worth the extra 10 minutes. We ordered combo platters of chicken and broccoli and pepper steak with onion. Both were very good. The egg rolls are crispy and not overly greasy. Hubby also ordered bbq beef sticks which he enjoyed. The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant, service was quick. There is no place to eat in, it's pretty much take out only. The only area I'd say could use improvement is the entree and fried rice are a little disproportional - they're very heavy handed on the rice side. Other than that, the food was prepared well, tasty and again, definitely worth the additional 10 minute drive for us. This has been the best Chinese food we've had in Middletown.

It was our first time going to China Star. We had a take-out order and unfortunately I did not do a 100% inventory. I think the majority of local Chinese restaurants are owned by the same family as there are too many similarities across the board. The egg rolls are all identical and taste the same all over town, as well as being smaller. Overall the food was pretty good. We had two appetizers, pan-fried dumplings, and crab rangoon. Both were pretty good however, they had forgotten the dipping sauces for both. It is nice that they let you pick your condiments by the number you actually want and are going to use. It doesn't look like so many like the fortune cookie as they were not in the bag. We will try again but will have to do a complete inventory before leaving.
I love China Star. They are always quick and the food is always hot. When they were closed over Covid, I would call every week to see if they were opened up again. They are always nice and prompt and they are my favorite food to order. Can't go wrong with their sesame chicken! Love you forever China Star.
This place is located in the plaza with the Post office on 211. It's the normal Chinese food setting, mostly set up for pick up, but with a few tables. They haven't messed up an order and the food has been good. When I asked for the wings and they were out they offered me an option and explained the difference with no confusion. It's a good spot.
